Juggling life’s multiple responsibilities

Inspiring stories, real clients

What was going on in your life/business/work when you made the decision to work with me? What challenges were you facing?

I was feeling overwhelmed with all of the responsibilities on my plate and was having trouble enjoying the little moments of life. - Balance, health, family relationships, energy and satisfaction in life were some of the key areas of challenge we focused on.

What else did you try to overcome your challenges before you worked with me? What happened?

I tried to respect my time boundaries and found myself not prioritizing my values because of a lack of self-awareness and busyness.

What has been the biggest breakthrough you’ve experienced while working with me?

That it is ok to not be in balance all the time, that we are whole people capable of solving complex internal problems, and that my purpose can be as simple as being a good person for my loved ones.

What has been your favorite thing about working with me so far?

I appreciate Alison's grounded perspective, thoughtful insights and consistent optimism.

How would you describe my coaching service to someone else?

Alison offers a wise, insightful and warm light in the chaos of life's ups and downs. She helps you notice connections and naturally helps you discover what might be at the core of your values. She is a gifted coach and others would be enriched to work with her.

Seeking real, ongoing happiness

What was going on in your life/business/work when you made the decision to work with me? What challenges were you facing?

It sounds cliché, but I was not happy. I had a good job, friends, no financial worries, healthy kids -- but I felt sad most of the time, and very unfulfilled. I had worked with a therapist and felt like I knew what I needed to work on, but no matter what I did the sense of being incomplete or missing something returned.

What else did you try to overcome your challenges before you worked with me? What happened?

Therapy. I saw a counselor for almost a year. And I felt like I made a lot of progress in that year but somehow, I still wasn't what I would call "happy". This coaching was just what I needed for that

What has been the biggest breakthrough you’ve experienced while working with me?

It's hard to write these kinds of answers without sounding cliche or making the answer sound overly simplistic. The biggest thing that happened to me while working with Alison was figuring out that the distance between me and "Happy me" was not as far as I thought it was. I just wasn't moving in the right direction (and wasn't moving at all). The work we did was different enough that I wasn't able to intellectually explain why I wasn't happy. My goal was to get happier -- and this was a big part of attaining that goal.

What has been your favorite thing about working with me so far?

Alison is a good listener. You are empathetic. And most of all, you have a great way of making me do the work (instead of trying to tell me what you think the work is)

How would you describe my coaching service to someone else?

I would say it's experiential, not cerebral. For me, this was great because I think I know what I need and can't figure out how to get there. Using the methods that you used, there was no room for me to tell you what I thought I was feeling --- those feelings came out. And with those feelings came the directions for curing what was ailing me.

Facing life’s big decisions

What was going on in your life/business/work when you made the decision to work with me? What challenges were you facing?

I was facing some big decisions and hoping to make some big accomplishments: selling my business, getting pregnant, moving into a phase of my life where I finally feel like I'm doing what I want professionally.

What else did you try to overcome your challenges before you worked with me? What happened?

Therapy and intuitive readings.

What has been the biggest breakthrough you’ve experienced while working with me?

Surprisingly, it was coming to terms with my own feelings about pregnancy. Shedding the fear of having an undesirable outcome and just focusing on having a healthy pregnancy. You helped me cut to the core of that pretty quickly and in a way I can easily digest and use as a source point.

What has been your favorite thing about working with me so far?

Authentic connection and communication, a unique way of problem solving and goal setting, and being able to discuss a variety of topics that require an open and nonjudgmental mind.

How would you describe my coaching service to someone else?

Calm and therapeutic energy, open and vulnerable space holding, able to meet you where you are and help you get from where you are to where you want to be.
